Preventative Health CareWell child exams are an important part of pediatric health care. These visits provide the opportunity to elevate our patients' growth and development, nutritional status, and sleep habits. School performance is reviewed, as are any behavioral concerns. Patients will have age appropriate evaluations of hearing, vision, and speech. Routine blood screening for lead, anemia, and cholesterol are performed. Immunizations will be given in accordance with the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations. Adolescent Health CareAdolescence is a time of rapid physical and emotional change; it can be a difficult time for both patients and their parents. We provide yearly exams, as well as a full range of adolescent services. Our confidential visits encourage open and honest communication and the opportunity to discuss adolescent health concerns including growth, development, behavioral, and school problems. We also address depression, safe sex, alcohol, smoking, and drug abuse. A separate clinic for adolescent gynecological services is staffed by highly trained Nurse Practitioners. |

Additionally, we work closely with the hospital staff to arrange routine newborn testing, and to plan an appropriate discharge date for your child. Your newborn is typically seen a few days later in the office to ensure adequate weight gain and to discuss sleep, feedings, and any other concerns. |
